December 19, 2005 - USFMEP President, and First V. president with International delegation participated with Muslim and Christian youth organizations in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt (International Peace walk), under the auspices of Minister of Youth Dr. Mamdouh El-Beltagui, and the Governor of  Sinai region Major General Mr. Mostafa Afifi . The focus of Peace walk is to sponsor the International Year of Sport and Physical Education, which provides a unique opportunity to focus the world’s attention on the importance of sport in society and on how sport and physical education programmers can be used as tools to help utilize sport for peace; Seeking to reap the benefits of sports for peace building, socio-economic development and health, The US Federation for Middle East Peace adopted a policy declaration aimed at national governments around the world.

November 14, 2005 - Children in Slavery - The 21st Century Summit in November 2005, at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, Mrs. Kader participated as a panelist at this Human Trafficking Summit whose audience included business leaders and the international diplomatic community. They heard from experts who work on the frontlines who investigate human trafficking in all of its 8 faces: sex, war, and labor slavery, sex tourism, Internet Child Pornography, organ and skin trafficking, and ritual abuse torture, which has been recognized by the UN. What made this Summit unique was its attempt to break the glass ceiling and encourage others who are not necessarily part of this arena to become educated, empowered, and engaged in this worldwide campaign to end human trafficking NOW. Almost 50% of those enslaved in the 21st Century are children. The Summit was endorsed by Jan Eliasson, President of the UN General Assembly, President George W. Bush, The US State Department, Australian Embassy, law enforcement, and business leaders. Mr. Claude Allen, Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy at The White House was one of the Speakers. There are great immediate needs worldwide to promote awareness of this plight as Investigative Journalist Christine Dolan, the organizer of the Summit said, "This is a global shame shared by all of us. Every ten minutes around the clock and cross the globe, there are between 15-76 new trafficked victims. This is a global phenomenon with drastically dangerous ramifications not only for society but for future generations to come."  As a result of this Summit, the momentum is growing with a worldwide bipartisan international coalition. SSTOP - Students Stopping Trafficking of Persons has been launched. The International Students Trafficking Summit is being held in DC at Georgetown University Feb 24-26, 2006. This Coalition is  reaching out to all Heads of State and Business leaders worldwide to put the fight against human trafficking in the 21st Century at the top of their agendas. In 2007, The Coalition will execute a worldwide multi-dimensional campaign and join forces with other organizations with one goal in mind - to decrease slavery worldwide. Mrs. Kader is an Ambassador of "Children in Slavery - The 21st Century" 2007 Campaign.

Sept 24  to 27, 2005 - Arab Organization of the Disabled People (AODP) held their Workshop in Beirut Lebanon, attended by US Federation for Middle East Peace; the Workshop issued a communiqué under the title “Beirut Declaration” to launch the Arab Forum of Women with Disabilities.

September 21, 2005 - USFMEP celebrated the International Peace Day conference in Cairo, Egypt. Over 1600 persons attended this celebration held at the Remises Hilton hotel; between the Audiences were Mr. President Hosni Mubarak’s Political advisor, his Excellency Osama Al-Baz, and many Egyptian Ministers, as well as members of the parliament, scholars and religious leaders. Delegations from USFMEP Headquarter in New York headed by Mrs. Sally Kader consist of United States Congressman and New York City commissioner. Mrs. Kader opened the celebration with warm welcome and outlined the organization’s goals for peace, through cross-cultural, inter faith dialogue, peace education and denouncing all forms of violence. Representing Secretary General Mr. Kofi Annan in Egypt Ms. Majada Khorshid read a speech on his behalf to the audience; in his speech, he commanded the countries stand against violence and assuring that peace will be the United Nations first priority. At the end, Mrs. Sally Kader awarded the Peace shield to President Mubarak for his continuous efforts towards peace in the region and enhancing the role of women in his country.

The USFMEP has been granted Special Consultative Status to the United Nations in accordance with the UN's Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Resolution 1996/31.

June 7 to 8, 2005 - Mr. Ahmed AlFadaly USFMEP first Vic President participated at International Conference about Interreligious Dialogue in Vatican City, Italy.  Pope Benedict XVI and  more than a hundred persons of different religions and traditions participated in the conference titled  "Critical Moment for Interreligious Dialogue" which took place on June seven and eight 2005. With the purpose of evaluating and examining the experience of interreligious dialogue and collaboration, as it has been carried on during recent decades, and about the way it should be practiced in the future. Specialists in religious issues met in the Ecumenical Centre of Geneva to examine the subjects:  "reflection in common", "evaluating the present" and "imagining the future". Among the speakers were important personalities of interreligious dialogue, like Swami Agnivesh, Dr. Asghar Ali Engineer, Rabbi Ehud Bandel, Professor Rita M.Gross, H.E. Seyyed Ali Abtahi, Rabbi Naamah Kelman, and Rev. Valson Thampu. This international conference was organized by the World Council of Churches, a community of three hundred and forty seven churches from more than a hundred and twenty countries from all the continents.

May 24-26, 2005 - USFMEP President, Sally Kader attended the Business Women's Summit held in Tunis, Tunisia. A number of America's leading business women offered management and leadership skills training to 200 Middle Eastern women during the Summit. The summit was in response to President George W. Bush's initiative to link Arab, U.S., and global private sector businesses, non-governmental organizations, civil society elements, and governments together to develop innovative policies and programs that support reform in the region. As the President outlined in his Nov. 6, 2003 speech at the National Endowment for Democracy, the U.S. has adopted a new policy, a forward strategy of freedom in the Middle East.  The Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) is a Presidential initiative founded to support economic, political, and educational reform efforts in the Middle East and champion opportunity for all people of the region, especially women and youth. MEPI is the administration's primary diplomatic policy and development programmatic tool to support this new U.S. policy.

April 30, 2005 - USFMEP President was the feature speaker this year at the Annual Conference for the Women's Political Caucus of New Jersey (WPC-NJ), a multi-partisan organization dedicated to increasing the number of progressive women in elected and appointed positions in government, protecting reproductive freedom, and promoting equal rights for women. The WPC-NJ is an affiliate of the National Women's Political Caucus. With an introduction by Candace Straight, Barbara Sussman Goldberg was sworn in as the new State President. The conference also honored former New Jersey Secretary of State Regina Thomas and well known Republican attorney, Christine Bator.

March 22, 2005 – USFMEP President, Sally Kader lectured on “Women's Issues in the Middle East” to the United Nations Association of New York's Young Professionals for International Cooperation, a nonpartisan, national network of professionals between the ages of 21 and 40 that works to promote effective U.S. involvement in international affairs and in the United Nations. The UNA-NY YPIC is an affiliate of the  United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA-USA).

March 8, 2005 UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW2005) - “The Rights of Muslim Women: Islam and Tradition." The panel moderated by the US Federation President included the following speakers: Mrs. Mona Mikhail, author and professor of Arabic Literature and Women's Studies at New York University. She lectures, and publishes extensively on Arabic Literature as well as the role and status of women in Arab societies. Her most recent book "Seen and Heard; A Century of Arab Women in Literature and Culture" Interlink 2004, was chosen as an Outstanding Academic Title by Choice, The American Library Association Journal for 2005. Following Mrs. Mikhail was Dr. Nahid Mozaffari, editor of the PEN Anthology of Contemporary Persian Literature. She has taught Middle Eastern history at the New School in New York, and at Cabot University in Rome, Italy. She received her Ph.D. in history and Middle Eastern studies from Harvard University. Nahid recently published the book, "Strange Times, My Dear." Much covered in news worldwide, this book is known as the, "The book over which Arcade Publishing sued the U.S. Government." After defeating unconstitutional US censorship, the book launched in the United States making history, and showcasing the developments in Iranian literature over the past quarter-century. Mrs. Safiyya Sarkin, a representative of the International Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences, an NGO at United Nations.

March 4, 2005 - During the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW2005) the US Federation Moderated the panel titled, “Women in Islam: East Meets West." Speakers included: From Casablanca , Morocco, Mrs. Najat Ikhich of the Ytto Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to housing and rehabilitating women victims of violence. Mrs. Suad M. Marafie, a senior Aerobioligst and social activist with the Kuwaiti Women Voluntary Society for Humanity. Mrs. Hadil El-Kholy represented CELWA of Cairo, Egypt. The feature speaker for the panel was Dr. Saeeda Malik, Minister of Women Development and Social Welfare from the government of Karachi, Pakistan. She is also a Medical Surgeon.

October 14, 2004 - The Federation organized a Peace March in Taba, Egypt, after the bombing of a Red Sea resort which killed several Egyptians and Israelis. We invited the Vatican Ambassador and other Arab ambassadors, the UN Representative, and various Christian, Muslim and Jewish religious leaders to participate in this march as an act of denunciation of all forms of terrorism.

October 8, 2004 - Federation President, Sally Kader, met with Lebanese women's organizations to discuss women's social issues in Lebanon. The women's organizations held charity events to benefit orphanages throughout Lebanon.

October 2, 2004 - The U.S. Federation for Middle East Peace, in collaboration with the International Muslim Youth Organization, hosted The International Peace Forum in conjunction with United Nations International Peace Day. The conference was held in Cairo, Egypt, with the cooperation from the Egyptian government. The conference was attended by a representative of President Mubarak's First Advisor, Dr. Al-Baz, UN Representative, Dizan Durani, the Under Secretary General for the Arab League - ambassadors and diplomats from over 80 countries Sheikh Mohammed Sayyed Tantawi, the Grand Mufti (Islamic Judge) al-Azhar mosque in Cairo, a Christian Coptic leader, representatives of the Pope from the Vatican, presidents of major Egyptian universities, the president of the Middle East Lawyers Association, and the Egyptian National Council for Women, which is headed by Mrs. Suzan Mubarak, the Egyptian First Lady. Federation President, Sally Kader initiated discussions with the participants of the conference on ways to overcome the lack of trust and understanding between the cultures involved in conflicts in the Middle East. Through these discussions, participants helped formulate principles for lasting peace and outline actions to develop collective attitudes toward peace.

April 15, 2004 - Federation President, Sally Kader, visited various Egyptian women's organizations to discuss the roles of women toward building peace. The involvement of women in conflict resolution is one of the Federation's core objectives. Participants also discussed the elevation of women's status in Middle Eastern societies and how to increase awareness on local and global level. Mrs. Kader, participated in the caucuses held at the United Nations for Women in Islam. She formulated action plans for representatives of Islamic countries which attended these caucuses in preparation for the Conference for Status of Women (CSW) of 2005.

Mrs. Kader on Nile TV discussing the Peace Education and the International Day of Peace the Organization celebrate every year in Cairo, Egypt to spread the Peace message among the Middle Eastern countries and to celebrate the one day of non violence among the world Nations, it is a global cease-fire, when all countries and all people stop all hostilities for the entire day and it is a day on which people around the world observe a minute of silence at noon local time.

Mrs. Sally Shatila Kader with Judge Anita Usacka, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, after her election to the International Criminal Court at the Hague Currently. She is the only judge among the entire judicial body of the court representing the Eastern Europe Group of States and one of only seven female judges elected to the Court. Judge Usacka has extensive expertise in the field of the protection of the rights of children and women.
