■ Ms. Nahid Mozaffari

Ph.D. in History and Middle Eastern Studies from Harvard University

She taught Middle Eastern history at Cabot University in Rome.

 

 

■ Ms. Mona Mikhail

She is a Professor of Arabic Literature and Women's Studies at New York University. She lectures, and publishes extensively on Arabic Literature as well as the role and status of women in Arab societies. Her most recent book "Seen and Heard; A Century of Arab Women in Literature and Culture" Interlink 2004, was chosen as an Outstanding Academic Title by Choice, The American Library Association Journal for 2005.

 

■ Ms. Safiyya Sarkin

She represents International Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences, an NGO at United Nations.

Mrs. Salwa Kader

President and founder of US Federation for Middle East Peace, her focus is directed towards increasing the role and participation of women in the peace process according to Security Council Resolution 1325, and to promote Middle East Peace and Culture by means of Peace education and denunciation of all forms of violence.
