December 3, 2008 - In recognition of 2009 as the “Year of Reconciliation,” UFMEP held an event on December 3, 2008 to explore this theme and promote a discussion on human commonality through spirituality and consciousness. The event was co-sponsored by spiritual leader H.H. Bhakti Charu Swami Maharaj, The Veda Foundation and the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. The conference event was extremely successful and included prayers for the victims of the recent Bombay atrocities.
